F.L.A.I.M. stands for “Forever Living Alive iMe” and is formed of youth at Brightons Parish Church who attend high school (S1 to S3). We meet regularly on Sundays during church to chat, study the Bible, pray for each other, and eat cake. We also enjoy socials on a monthly basis.

We meet at 10.50am in the Community Centre next to the church. We join with the whole church at the start of the service, then come back out again to spend time together. Flaim finishes at 12.15pm sharp.

Last term we studied Luke’s Gospel in depth: Who? Where? When? What? and Why? With the help of some highlighters and a reading plan, we’ve been trying to work out how those short stories and Jesus’ parable-ing fit into God’s amazing plan. Want to know more? Then interrogate a member of FLAIM! This term we are doing “Know Your Sword” – looking at the Bible: where it came from, how it came to us, is it true, how to read it and understand it.

We always welcome new members – just turn up! For more information, please contact us at flaim@brightonschurch.org.uk.

Every couple of months we go to Powerpoint Scotland (formerly City Lights) in Edinburgh, joining in Wait For It and around six hundred other young people from church youth groups across Scotland to worship God and learn more about Him. This highlight of our calendar is supported by SU Scotland and Alpha Scotland.
