Fellowship Groups

What Are Fellowship Groups?

In a congregation like Brightons, people can feel lost in the crowd. Small groups like our Fellowship Groups can help overcome that problem by providing a small group setting where it's much easier to get to know people.

Fellowship Groups are groups of approximately 12 adults, who understand that the kingdom of God is a kingdom where right relationships are of central importance. Each group is committed to encouraging good relationships, firstly with Jesus Christ as Lord, secondly with one another as members together of Christ's body, and thirdly with the wider community in order to reconcile others to Christ.

Fellowship Groups meet fortnightly in either one of the homes of the group members or in the church hall. They are under the oversight of Fellowship Group Leaders, who are accountable to the Minister.

The Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Thessalonians 5.v11 "Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing". That's precisely what we strive to achieve with all our groups. Each group spends time in fellowship, worship, the study of God's word and prayer. Participation in Fellowship Groups is an excellent way to find friendship, encouragement and spiritual nurture.

“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”
