We Are Now In Vacancy - August 2017

Our Minister, Murdo Campbell, has been called by God to a new charge as Minister of Strathblane Parish Church and was inducted there on 17th August 2017 – we wish Murdo and Lorraine God’s blessings as they continue to work for Him there.

This means that Brightons Church is now in vacancy.

What does that actually mean?

Ian Baillie, in his sermon on 13th August, expressed it really well. The church is made up of living stones – people. Each of us is important to the life of the congregation but the fact that one is removed does not bring the life of the church to a halt.

So, while we will be going through a process to find a new minister for Brightons, our church family will still be meeting together, worshipping together and seeking to serve God together.  We will do this on Sundays and throughout the week as all our various organisations and groups restart after the summer and continue to meet.

So we continue to “seek to show Christ’s love to all, and be a blessing to the wider world”.

During this vacancy period please initially contact the Session Clerk.
